Close to 90 people joined the Yellowknife Investors Group Walk for Alzheimer's on Saturday.
The walk began outside the Baker Community where the walkers began with a stretch and warm-up before they had a ceremonial police escort guide them through the downtown route that saw them return to the starting point a few hours later.
The total raised from the walk is still being calculated but the organizers of the event say they expect numbers to be up from previous years after warm weather allowed for a larger turnout than expected.
