WSCC president and CEO steps down

It was announced on Friday that 8-year president and CEO of the Worker's Safety and Compensation Commission (WSCC) Dave Grundy will be stepping down as of May 3.

Grundy joined the WSCC in 2002 after 30 years working within the RCMP, he began his appointment with the WSCC as president and CEO in July 2011.

“My decision to step down was not an easy one but the timing is right for the organization, for me, and for my family,” stated Grundy in the April 26 news release. “The people I’ve worked with over the years at the WSCC will always be an inspiration to me. I’m grateful and honored to have these memories and very proud of the progress we’ve made towards creating and maintaining safe workplaces in the North.”

While the organization undergoes the recruitment process Kim Collins-Riffel with take Grundy's place as interim CEO.
