A community hearing in Yellowknife for the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls will be held from January 23 to 25, according to a statement released Wednesday.

The hearing, which is open to the public, may include “sharing circle testimonies and artistic expression panels,” the release from the Inquiry stated.

For residents wishing to register for the hearing, officials will be present to collect statements.

Complete details will be made available to the public early in the new year, according to the release.

The National Inquiry encourages families, survivors and community members to contact their toll free, 24 hour, seven days a week support line at 1-844-413-6649.
