Due to some technical difficulties, the City of Yellowknife is advising residents that its McKay Pay app for parking meters is malfunctioning.

A Thursday press release states individuals may experience difficulty using the app to pay for parking in the downtown area.

“The city is working diligently with McKay Pay to resolve the issue,” stated Kerry Penney, director of policy, communications and economic development for the city.

Residents are asked to use the coin meters if they are having difficulties paying with the app. The city will be informing residents when the issue is resolved.
