Yellowknife taxi driver accused of sexually assaulting teen

A Yellowknife cab driver has been accused of sexually assaulting a male teen.

On Wednesday morning, Mounties received a complaint that a Yellowknife taxi driver had sexually assaulted a 16-year-old male victim, state police in a news release issued Friday afternoon.

Abdullahi Ali, 46, is charged with sexual assault and sexual interference.

Police have not said which taxi company employed the accused.

Ali, RCMP tell Yellowknifer, has been released from custody.

He is due to appear in a Yellowknife court on June 4.
