Arts and cultural centre looks to build multiculturalism

Well, I see the rose hips, which are sometimes called itchy bums, are turning some amazing shades of orange and red. You know what that means? It will soon be berry picking time.

In my last series of articles I told the story about my son, Gage. He was hooked on opioids: Oxycontin, heroin and then fentanyl. He was addicted for many years. The good news is Gage has been clean and sober for six years. He’s doing great.

One of the biggest issues our healthcare system is facing right now is understaffing. It’s no secret, and it’s not a problem unique to the NWT.

Grief, such as during death, does things to people that are out of character (or maybe it enhances and brings out a true character in some people).

The games people play were on full display during the Ptarmicon 2024 convention held in Yellowknife last weekend. From medieval dungeons and dragons warriors to modern superheroes, it was an extravaganza of the underlords and the overworld.

Tennis NWT’s Open Tournament was held in Yellowknife over the weekend with approximately 50 players from Fort Smith and Yellowknife participating.

I know of at least two people who passed away in the last couple weeks whose deaths few people talk about. It's all kind of quiet with the occasional post expressing sadness and shock.
